A free GLM-5 chat that runs the real models
This page is a free web chat for Z.ai's GLM-5 family. Every answer comes from a real GLM model: GLM-5.3 Flash by default, or GLM-5.3 when you pick it in the model switcher. Requests go through OpenRouter, the same route developers use, so what you see here is what the models actually produce.
You do not need an account. Type a question, paste a long document, or attach a picture and ask about it. Answers stream token by token with Markdown, tables and highlighted code. If a problem needs more care, switch on Think deeper: the model spends more reasoning before it replies, and you can open the collapsed "Thinking" panel to read how it got there.
Your conversations are stored only in your own browser, so you can come back to them, search them, rename them or delete them. Nothing is tied to a name or an email address. To keep the chat free for everyone there are daily limits per visitor, and GLM-5.3 has its own smaller daily quota; when it runs out, GLM-5.3 Flash keeps working.

Q01Is this GLM-5 chat really free?
Yes. There is no subscription and no sign-up. The site pays for the model usage and keeps it sustainable with fair daily limits per visitor. If you reach the daily limit, the chat will tell you and you can continue the next day.
Q02Which GLM model answers my messages?
GLM-5.3 Flash answers by default. You can switch to GLM-5.3 in the header at any time. Each answer shows the model name underneath, so you always know which model wrote it.
Q03Can I send pictures?
Yes. Attach one image per message with the picture button, by pasting it, or by dropping it onto the chat. Images are answered by GLM-5.3 Flash, because GLM-5.3 reads text only; if GLM-5.3 is selected, the chat switches to Flash for that message and tells you.
Q04What does Think deeper do?
GLM models always reason a little before they answer. Think deeper raises the reasoning effort, so the model works through the problem more carefully. It is slower and uses more of your daily allowance, so turn it on for maths, logic, debugging and planning rather than for quick questions.
Q05Where is my chat history stored?
Only in your browser's local storage on this device. We do not keep a copy of your conversations on our server. Clearing your browser data or deleting a chat removes it for good.
Q06Is glm5.org run by Z.ai?
No. glm5.org is an independent project and is not affiliated with Z.ai or Zhipu AI. We use the official GLM models through OpenRouter and write our own guides about them.
